Delicious Cookies anyone?

Next on our foods to try list was this recipe stolen from SD22 on the nest. They sounded great and turned out great. I think Mr.T still prefers my chocolate chip cookies but the bonus of this recipe is that it uses about half the sugar.
Here is how they look in the bowl

And the finished product

Pizza!

So Mr.T and I decided to try our hand at homemade pizza, which ended up being Mr.T making homemade pizza for both of us. (side note: how do you like our mini stove? We're trying to get used to it...)

His was pepperoni, canadian bacon and pineapple. (Bleh!) Mine was pesto, feta cheese, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives and tomatoe- delicious!

Pardon my ineptness...

I'm thinking that maybe I'm not such a good blogger! I am trying to get into the swing of this I swear. And figure out how to add pics.
Basically Mr.T and I have been bad kids (well more accurately, busy kids) and haven't had a whole lot of time on our hands to be working on the blog here. Our goal okay, my goal, is to post pics of our trips, talk about our recipe trials (ps: made a fab flourless chocolate cake and left the raspberries on over night on the counter, the cake molded. GROSS) and whatever else tickles our fancy.
This past weekend we went to my cousin Kathy's wedding in Oregon and had such a good time! I will post some pics soon. (See beautiful Mt. Shasta from I5 below)

Hiking!

On Saturday Mr.T and I went hiking with N and D in Sugarloaf and it was fun! We had a delicious picnic pre-hike and started out in the nice warm sun. It felt really good to be out and about with the sun on my back. Until I got over hot and dizzy only about halfway through the hike. Then I was just happy that we were almost done (that's what I told myself anyways...) and that we were with good friends. At the end of the hike I stuck my head under a water spigot and it felt amazing! In the end, it was really nice to visit and to get outside in the 110 degree weather.
